A Commonwealth Tradition Comes Home to Delhi

The 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship 2026 gathers more than 35 nations at the historic Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi from 27 July to 2 August, with the Grand Finals staged on 2 August.

Across seven days and seven medal categories, the finest paddlers of the Commonwealth will contest team and individual honours on the show court — carrying forward a tradition of friendly rivalry that has defined this championship for over five decades.

Since 1971

A History of Commonwealth Table Tennis

1971

The inaugural Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships are staged, uniting member nations around the sport for the first time.

1980s–90s

The championship grows into a recurring fixture, expanding categories and welcoming rising table tennis nations from across the Commonwealth.

2000s

India, England, Singapore and Nigeria establish themselves as powerhouses, trading titles across singles, doubles and team events.

2026

The 22nd edition arrives in New Delhi — the largest and most inclusive staging yet, with 35+ nations at Thyagraj Stadium.

Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation (CTTF)

The governing authority for table tennis across the Commonwealth. The CTTF sanctions the championship, sets competition standards and safeguards the spirit of fair play that unites its member nations.

Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI)

The national federation and co-host of CTTC 2026. The TTFI leads competition delivery, officiating and athlete services, drawing on decades of experience staging elite events across India.

Government of NCT of Delhi
